Double Flat-Bar Grating Product Introduction
Double flat-bar grating, also known as double flat-bar galvanized grating, is one of the core flagship products of K.C.F. and Shou Hsiang, designed specifically for high-load, high-frequency-use road drains and public works.

High-Load RoadsWhat is Double Flat-Bar Grating?
Traditional grating typically uses a "flat bar (load-bearing bar) + twisted square bar (cross bar)" structure; double flat-bar grating instead uses interlocking flat bars in both the main load-bearing direction and the cross direction, formed by fully automatic high-frequency welding or perforated welding.
Because both the transverse and longitudinal directions use flat bars, the load structure is more evenly distributed and stable, greatly increasing overall rigidity and load resistance, making it suitable for road drains, public works, and environments with frequent vehicle traffic.
Core Technical Features & Manufacturing Standards
The double flat-bar grating produced by K.C.F. and Shou Hsiang combines Shou Hsiang's forming and processing expertise with K.C.F.'s high-quality galvanizing craftsmanship, forming a stable, fully integrated manufacturing process.
01
National-Grade SS400 Structural Steel
Made entirely of SS400 steel that meets CNS standards, with a tensile strength of 41-52 kg/mm², ensuring resistance to deformation under vehicle loads.
02
High-Frequency Fully Automatic Welding
Uses imported European and American equipment for high-frequency welding rather than manual spot welding, ensuring strong joints without melting the base material.
03
High-Standard Zinc Coating Protection
After forming, the product is sent to K.C.F.'s galvanizing tank for hot-dip galvanizing, with a coating thickness of 610 g/m² or more, meeting CNS 1247 requirements.
04
Anti-Theft & Safety Configuration
Products are typically equipped with locking pins and anti-theft locking fittings, with edge-sealing treatment to reduce the risk of theft, loosening, and rattling noise.
Key Advantages & Benefits
| Performance Aspect | Description & Benefits |
|---|---|
| Superior Load Capacity & Safety | The bidirectional flat-bar structure provides excellent overall rigidity, able to withstand frequent traffic from buses, heavy trucks, and fire engines. |
| High Slip Resistance | The cover surface can be processed with a serrated anti-slip pattern per project requirements, reducing the risk of pedestrians slipping or vehicle tires skidding in rainy conditions. |
| Strong Drainage Capacity | A high opening ratio allows rapid drainage of heavy rainwater, while resisting sediment buildup, making cleaning and maintenance easy. |
| Lightweight Structure | Compared to traditional heavy cast-iron drain covers, weight can be reduced by about half at the same load capacity, making transport and installation easier. |
| Fully Integrated Quality | Precision cutting and welding by Shou Hsiang, followed by direct hot-dip galvanizing by K.C.F. — both lead time and craftsmanship standards are strictly controlled under ISO 9001. |
